While staying at the Westin Tokyo, my clients had treated me to authentic Japanese cuisine by taking me to “Top of Yebisu” in Yebisu Garden Place a few minutes’ walk from the Westin Tokyo, located on the 38th and 39th floors of the Yebisu Garden Place Tower.
This restaurant offers great panoramas across the city, unobstructed by any other tall buildings nearby. It was a beautiful evening and I was able to see Mount Fuji in the distance and downtown Tokyo lit up in the horizon.
The restaurant offers traditional Japanese cuisine in a modern style and you can enjoy a variety of dishes with portions just a slight bit larger than tapas. As you enter, it is customary to remove your shoes before dining. You can indulge in the diversified menu with chopsticks or simply a fork. I had the wonderful pleasure of being introduced to soba, yakiniku, yakitori, okonomiyaki and teppanyaki while enjoying my traditional sushi and oden favorites.
